Hub Economic Forum

On Tuesday September 15th, The Hub Amsterdam & Imagine Economics invite you to the first Hub Economic Forum. The Hub Economic Forum is a returning Space in which the current structure of our current economic system is re-considered, re-imagined and re- created.

During the Forum, we ask ourselves big questions: What is an economy for? What are the objectives we are trying to reach and on which values and principles should our system be founded? And looking at our world today, which current economic mental models are ready for revision and what are the alternatives? 

But we also bring the economy close to you. Being an economic agent in a variety of circles of influence in your life, how do you use your talents and beliefs to co-create the systemic change towards a sustainable world; a system in which we take care of nature, human beings and in which economic values are in line with our human and ethical values?

In our first Hub Economic Forum, we will present you with current theories on sustainable economics, and shine light on various ‘alternative economic systems & practices’ that have been developed in the Netherlands and the world. We also allow space for your collective intelligence: what economic questions are posed by the group, that we want to discuss with our co- participants? Which are the mental models that you want to review and reshape?

As a practice of 'participatory economics' we'd like to share both the joy and the expenses of the afternoon. Therefore lunch is served, and you are warmly invited to contribute to the collection.
