We have established a new foundation (Stichting AgriDynamic Foundation) with the aim to creates an impact on the declining level of both on-farm and off-farm activities in rural areas of Cameroon. Our vision is to make rural areas more attractive to young people in order to avoid rural exodus and promote sustainable development. We have a strategic plan for five years that will create the desired impact in Bamessing (a small village located at the foot of the hill in Ngoketunjia division in the North West province of Cameroon).
Our plans start in June 2008 with developing a training program for rural economic development with a local partner organisation. This exciting training shall be purposefully designed to trained trainers living in rural areas.
The trained trainers shall be capable of organising similar trainings and will set up an independent body. They shall also start a Cameroon sustainable venture network. This independent structure shall be approaching tontine groups and large farm-families, get them register and provide the training.
In order to enhance the continuity we shall set an agriculture centre in Bamessing in the second year. This centre will be generating income which shall be used partly by the independent body to provide training. Part of the income shall be use to provide micro credit to rural farmers on no interest.
In order to realize this project, we need:
• Social entrepreneurs to join our board of commissionaires,
• We need micro finance and economist experts to join our team,
• IT specialist,
• We also need experts in the field of rural leadership and agric-related activities.
